Nearly 17m watch Rousey vs Carano on Netflix

In the Netflix and MVP MMA special on May 16th at Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, Ronda Rousey, in her first MMA fight in a decade, defeated Gina Carano in 17 seconds via armbar submission.
The main card scored an estimated average minute audience (AMA) of 12.4 million Live+1 viewers globally, per VideoAmp, G&G and Netflix. Viewership peaked with nearly 17 million viewers watching the Rousey vs Carano fight.
Other results on the triple-main card saw Mike Perry defeat Nate Diaz by TKO after the referee stopped the fight before the third round, and Francis Ngannou knocked out Brazil’s Philipe Lins in the first round.
In the US, the triple-main card averaged 9.3 million viewers, peaking at 11.6 million viewers during Rousey vs Carano. Additionally, Rousey v Carano generated 1 billion impressions across Netflix’s global social channels.
The fight attracted a star-studded ringside audience including Michael Irvin, Tommy Lee, Barry Bonds, Sebastian Maniscalco, James Cameron, Marshawn Lynch, Jon Jones, Anderson Silva, Dax Shepard, Lilly Singh, Carmen Electra, David Spade, CM Punk, Alycia Baumgardner, Puka Nacua, Jared Verse, Cameron Dallas and many more.
