HBO Max has announced the availability of podcasts on its platform across Europe. By bringing podcasts directly onto HBO Max, the service says it is expanding the way audiences can engage with its storytelling – offering companion experiences, behind‑the‑scenes access and creator‑led conversations alongside its series and movies.
The European podcast launch begins with the immediate availability of Harry Potter: The Official Film Podcast. Hosted by film critic and broadcaster Rhianna Dhillon, the podcast offers an insightful rewatch of the celebrated Harry Potter movies, featuring special guests, discussions and deep dives into key moments, ahead of the new Harry Potter series debuting on HBO Max this December.
From June, HBO Max will roll out a slate of franchise‑led podcasts, anchored by Game of Thrones and its expanding universe. Fans will be able to explore The Game of Thrones Anniversary Special Podcast, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms Podcast and The Game of Thrones Podcast: House of the Dragon, with a brand‑new season – available in video for the first time – launching to accompany season 3 of House of the Dragon.
These will sit alongside companion podcasts and discussions from some of HBO Max’s most popular series and movies, including The Last of Us, The Pitt, The Comeback and Sinners: In Proximity, as well as the complete multi‑season rewatch podcast The History of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Harry Potter: The Official Film Podcast debuts with a special two‑episode launch, followed by weekly episodes, with two episodes dedicated to each movie. Fans can stream the video version exclusively on HBO Max, with the audio version also available across major podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
