Technetix appoints Bruynseels to Board of Directors
May 6, 2026
Technetix has announced the appointment of Luk Bruynseels to its Board of Directors, effective immediately. In addition to joining the Board, Bruynseels will also serve on Technetix’ Strategic Advisory Board.
Bruynseels spent more than 15 years at Telenet in Belgium, where he rose to Chief Technology Officer. In that role, he led network strategy and major infrastructure upgrades, including the successful integration of the BASE mobile network.
In 2026, Bruynseels transitioned into the role of Managing Director for Networks and Capital Allocation at Liberty Global. In this position, he oversees network strategy and investment decisions across multiple markets, aligning infrastructure development with long-term business objectives.
At the same time, Colin Büchner, former Chief Network Officer of Liberty Global, will step down from the Technetix Board after nearly a decade of service.
Bruynseels commented: “I’m pleased to join the Technetix Board and Strategic Advisory Board at such an exciting time for the industry. The convergence of fixed broadband and wireless technologies is creating unprecedented opportunities for innovation. I look forward to contributing my experience across fixed and mobile networks to help Technetix deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of operators worldwide.”
Technetix CEO and Founder, Paul Broadhurst, added: “We are delighted to welcome Luk to both our Board and our Strategic Advisory Board. His proven track record and deep industry expertise will bring invaluable insight as we continue to push the boundaries of broadband performance. Luk’s experience will strengthen our vision for next-generation networks that combine energy efficiency, scalability, and the seamless integration of fixed infrastructure with 5G wireless. I would also like to extend my sincere thanks to Colin Büchner for his outstanding contribution to Technetix over nearly 10 years of dedicated service on the Board.”
