Synamedia, FX Digital collaborate

May 5, 2026

Video software provider, Synamedia, has announced a collaboration with FX Digital, the Connected TV and OTT app specialists, to provide application design expertise for GO Shorts, the recently launched AI-powered Go module. GO Shorts makes it easy for video service providers to engage with mobile-first audiences by automating the creation of a personalised, short-form feed using content from existing catalogues, complementing existing long-form viewing services.

FX Digital created a user experience and visual design for GO Shorts, in collaboration with Synamedia’s product and engineering teams. Synamedia’s development organisation then implemented the design, combining engaging user journeys with platform-grade scalability, reliability, and operational integration.

GO Shorts extends the modular Synamedia Go Cloud video platform with a new AI-powered product module that transforms an operator’s existing content library into personalised, mobile-first, short-form experiences, without requiring new production workflows or replacing existing infrastructure. AI identifies and surfaces clips tailored to each user’s behaviour and the module integrates third-party content as well as enabling fluid viewing between short and long-form content with a single tap.

The collaboration with FX Digital exemplifies Synamedia’s approach of pairing its cloud platforms with a best-in-class partner ecosystem that offers specialist expertise, allowing customers to differentiate their services. Through the Synamedia Go ecosystem, Synamedia and its partners reduce deployment effort, accelerate time-to-market, and give operators the flexibility of selecting their preferred vendors. This includes UI/UX partners who can provide design expertise for customer-specific applications across mobile, web and smart TVs.

Dr Tzvi Gerstl, EVP Media Technology at Synamedia, said: “GO Shorts was built to help operators adapt quickly to changing viewing habits and attract Gen Z audiences back, especially in mobile first environments. We are delighted to partner with FX Digital, whose work on a user experience for GO Shorts, together with our engineering execution, helps customers launch distinctive experiences faster. This collaboration reflects how Synamedia brings together platform strength with industry leading partners.”

Matthew Duhig, Co-founder at FX Digital, said: “Short-form viewing demands a different rhythm: discovery is faster, expectations are higher, and the experience must feel native on every screen. Working closely with Synamedia, we contributed the app experience design to make short-form browsing and consumption effortless while ensuring a seamless bridge to long-form content.”
