Arianespace readies Amazon Leo launch

April 17, 2026

By Chris Forrester

Subject to the usual weather considerations Arianespace is scheduled to launch 32 Amazon Leo satellites into orbit on April 28th. The launch will happen from the Spaceport at Kourou in French Guiana. The launch window is currently open from 10:51 am to 11:39 am (Paris time).

This mission will be the second Ariane 6 launch supporting the deployment of the Amazon Leo satellite constellation, which aims to expand connectivity services worldwide. The Ariane 64 is the most powerful version of the Ariane rocket and is crucial for launching large payloads such as the Amazon Leo satellites into orbit.

The 32 Amazon Leo satellites being deployed are designated LE-02 by Amazon and are part of a series of 18 Ariane rocket launches that will contribute to the expansion of the Amazon Leo connectivity services.
