Screenwriter and director Salvador Paskowitz and business partner Timothy Nelligan have announced the formation of Super Punchy Studios, a new narrative-driven production company focusing on vertical media and leading an artists-first movement in the rapidly growing vertical micro-drama industry. Super Punchy Studios first vertical title, Step By Step, stars top short-form drama talent including Nicole Mattox, Seth Edeen, Molly Anderson, and Haley Lohrli, and is set to premiere its first of 60 distinct episodes in May.

“At Super Punchy, we’re not chasing the evolution of vertical storytelling, we are actively shaping it,” said Paskowitz. “The future of this medium belongs to those who prioritise originality, ownership, and efficiency,” said Nelligan, “We have this and represent a new mindset in the industry that will resonate most with global audiences. We are not volume-driven, we are artist-driven.”

Super Punchy Studios has the backing of Nicole Mattox and Seth Edeen, two top vertical media actors and leaders in the creative revolution of vertical storytelling. Mattox works in short films, television, and film, and has earned the iconic moniker of ‘Vertical Queen 2025’. Edeen is an actor who has starred in over 20 micro-dramas and quickly gained prominence amongst global audiences bingeing mobile-first media. Both are some of the most recognisable faces in verticals, and have proven to culminate hundreds of millions of views across dozens of top-performing titles. Mattox and Edeen are also the stars of Super Punchy Studios’ first vertical drama called Step By Step, which is a full feature script written by Kristin Monroe Paskowitz and Halo Gracey, and will be produced and distributed through a proprietary Super Punchy app platform. Step By Step is slated to premiere later this year.

Paskowitz and Nelligan’s combined expertise, and Mattox and Edeen’s star power, bridge art, entertainment, and entrepreneurship to bring bold storytelling to the vertical space. Paskowitz is represented by Sheryl Petersen at IAG, and Ryan Lewis and Eric Williams at Zero Gravity Management.
