Motion Impossible, the specialist in production-proven robotic camera dollies and stabilisation solutions, has appointed Mark Bird as its new head of sales. Bird’s primary responsibility will be to develop and execute a sales strategy that focuses on bringing the best possible technology solutions to the filmmaking and broadcast communities. With a focus on leading the sales department as a collaborative team at Motion Impossible, Bird will be responsible for developing new business opportunities for the company.
Bird gained a wealth of industry experience from his time as managing director at RT Motion where he managed the company through an acquisition into the Vitec Group PLC (now Videndum) and as head of EMEA sales & business development for the Creative Solutions division for Teradek, SmallHD and Wooden Camera brands.
Rob Drewett, CEO and Co-founder at Motion Impossible, said: “Mark is an invaluable new addition to the team at Motion Impossible. His reputation in the industry shows how well-regarded he is and I’m looking forward to him bringing a fresh perspective to his role with us.”
Bird added: “I feel honoured to be part of such an innovative company at such an exciting time within its journey and I’m looking forward to further establishing Motion Impossible’s reputation as an industry leader for robotics solutions. There are so many growth areas that are yet to be explored, and I’m excited to be a part of it.”
