All-Ireland Senior Hurling live on BBC
July 7, 2023
On July 8th – 9th BBC Sport NI will show live coverage of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship Semi-Finals on BBC iPlayer, BBC Two Northern Ireland, streamed live on the BBC Sport NI website and on the BBC Sport App. It’s the first time the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Semi-Finals will be available to a Network BBC television audience across the UK.
A place in the showpiece final awaits later in the month as holders Limerick take on Galway on July 8th in the first semi-final before last year’s beaten finalists Kilkenny go up against Clare on July 9th.
Thomas Niblock introduces the action on July 8th from 5.30pm with throw-in at 6pm from Croke Park as Galway look to overturn last year’s semi-final result to Limerick. Sarah Mulkerrins provides all the latest news and updates from pitchside while Oisin Langan will be on commentary alongside Ulster Hurling legend Neil McManus who has recently retired after a 17-year career.
On July 9th, (Kilkenny v Clare) four-time All-Ireland winner and four-time All Star, former Kilkenny corner back, Paul Murphy, joins Wexford captain and 2019 All Star Lee Chin for analysis of the game alongside Neil McManus in the studio. Langan is in the commentary box again and is joined by Jamesie O’Connor for the eagerly awaited repeat of last year’s semi-final. Niblock introduces the action from 3.30pm for the 4pm throw-in with Mulkerrins pitchside.
