“Steady” December in Netflix ISP Speed Index

December was relatively steady in the Netflix ISP Speed Index – a monthly update on which Internet Service Providers provide the best prime time Netflix streaming experience.
Some 213 ISPs moved up 0.2 Mbps from November’s results, 217 ISPs stayed the same, and two ISPs, Viettel and VNPT in Vietnam, saw a drop of 0.2 Mbps falling to 3.2 and 3.4 Mbps, respectively.
December also marked the addition of the Iliad Italia ISP in Italy. Iliad Italia debuted with 3.8 Mbps of speed, marking one of the top performances in Italy.
In total, 17 countries were in the top performance tier for December with an average speed of 3.8 Mbps; Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and the US.
