German distributor Studio Hamburg Enterprises has announced it will operate under the new name of OneGate Media, with Tania Reichert-Facilides as MD.
Founded over 60 years ago as a subsidiary of regional public broadcaster NDR (Norddeutscher Rundfunk) OneGate Media is now part of the Studio Hamburg Group. Covering worldwide distribution for TV content, its 70 employees are based across its three offices in Hamburg, Munich and Berlin.
The sales team consists of 6 divisions, separated into International Sales, Digital and DVD / Blu-Ray Distribution in Germany as well as TV Sales in Germany, Licensing and Archive Footage Sales.
The name OneGate is a reference to the company’s roots in Hamburg, which is known as Germany’s ‘Gate to the World’, as well as its affiliation to the public broadcaster ARD, Das Erste, and its corporate mission of engaging in outstanding film and TV productions for its network of clients and partners.
Tania Reichert-Facilides, MD, said: “Changing our name to OneGate Media is the natural next step in our journey as a distribution business. It creates better visibility of our company for all of our partners and clients and puts our outstanding content portfolio in a new spotlight.”
