Disney+ names Canada content head

Disney has appointed former Telefilm Canada executive, Stephanie Azam, as director of content for Disney+ Canada.
Azam was at Canadian government-owned Telefilm Canada for 13 years where she oversaw production financing for English-speaking Canada, joining in 2008 as a marketing and distribution specialist, before being promoted to national director of feature film in 2009. More recently she had a stint at distributor MK2 Mile End.
Disney+ has yet to commission and original Canadian productions.
