India’s Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is identifying its programme of tasks to be carried out in 2022 and what steps can be taken to increase the number of satellite launches and its manufacturing.
According to Sreedhara Somanath, Chairman of ISRO and Secretary, Department of Space, new rockets coming on stream during this year include three varieties: the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV), Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV), and upcoming Small Satellite Launch Vehicle (SSLV).
The space agency is also reportedly looking at the government policy to increase the manufacturing of satellites.
According to Somanath, the industry feedback on the various draft policies issued for the private and public sector players has been received and the final policies will be announced shortly.
