RTL Nederland and Talpa Network assets, the works councils of RTL Nederland and Talpa Network issued their favourable opinions on the proposed merger.

A potential deal was first announced in June.

RTL Group and Talpa Network have now announced the signing of agreements to merge their broadcasting and other media businesses in the Netherlands.

The completion of the transaction remains subject to approval from the competent authorities and is expected to close in the first half of 2022.
