BBC acquires Twenties from ViacomCBS

Written and created by Lena Waithe, the semi-autobiographical series follows an aspiring young black lesbian writer, Hattie and her friends as they pursue their dreams in Los Angeles.
Sue Deeks, Head of Programme Acquisition, BBC, commented: “With its distinctive style and engaging characters, Twenties takes a humorous and insightful look at balancing work, love and friendship whilst navigating the outwardly glamorous world of Hollywood.”
The first series of Twenties will launch on BBC Three on October 25th.
