SpaceX raises $346m

According to Securities & Exchange Commission filing last week, Elon Musk’s SpaceX has raised an extra $346.2 million (net) in its latest fund-raising efforts.
This suggests that Musk’s company has raised some $1.7 billion since the beginning of 2019. The company has a valuation of some $36 billion. It previously raised $221 million on March 13th 2020.
Both tranches of cash were received in return for the issue of new Common Stock in the privately-held company.
Investors in SpaceX include Google, Fidelity, Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Founders Fund, Valor Equity and Capricorn.
SpaceX has been busy these past few days looking after a NASA launch using its Falcon Heavy rocket of two astronauts to the International Space Station.
