Saudi Arabia-based Arabsat is mounting an initiative to help combat the Coronavirus.
A statement from CEO Khalid Balkheyour said: “Arabsat believes in its social responsibility and the need to unite to eradicate this epidemic, and move with our societies towards a safe and healthy space soon, that’s why we put all of Arabsat capabilities in the service of that purpose. We wish everyone health and wellness.”
Amongst the moves which include helping with its satellites to update the public and keep viewers aware of the latest health and safety moves, Arabsat is also carrying medical and civil information to contribute to the fight against the Coronavirus.
Additionally, Arabsat is reminding its Arabic viewers across the MENA region that 14 educational channels, from Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Education, are being broadcast and are available to help all grades of school and higher-education students throughout the region.
