Oh to star & exec produce Netflix’s The Chair

Netflix has announced The Chair, a new six episode half-hour dramedy centred around the Chair of an English department at a major university.
Sandra Oh is set to star in the show, as well as serve as executive producer. Oh currently stars in and is a Co-Executive Producer of BBC America’s critically acclaimed smash hit Killing Eve for which she won Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series, a Screen Actor’s Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series, a Critic’s Choice Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series and received Emmy Award nominations for Lead Actress in a Drama Series (2018 and 2019) and a BAFTA TV Award nomination for Best Leading Actress.
Amanda Peet (Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, Brockmire) will serve as Writer, Showrunner and Executive Producer on the project.
The series will also star Emmy-award winning actor Jay Duplass (Transparent, Togetherness).
David Benioff, of Game of Thrones fame, will also have an Executive Producer credit.
