Locast adds additional US markets
October 18, 2019
Locast, the non-profit digital translator service, has continued its expansion by adding two more US markets this week: Atlanta and Phoenix. Atlanta went live on October 17th and Phoenix followed on October 18th.
Anyone living within these markets with a broadband connection can view their local broadcast television channels for free using the Locast app or on by visiting the Locast website.
“Locast is now in 15 markets across the country, serving almost 40 million TV households,” said David Goodfriend, founder of Locast. “Residents of Atlanta and Phoenix now will have better access to local weather reports, emergency information, and local professional and college football. Hundreds of thousands of fans of local broadcast programming have enjoyed Locast. We’re thrilled to give back to the people of Atlanta and Phoenix their local TV.”
