Amazon has announced at MIPCOM the launch in France of its Prime Video Channels service – which gives easier access to a bundle of pay-TV channels and SVoD platforms through its own streaming service.
Fourteen channels and services are available to Prime Video French users at launch, with additional content soon to be added, Amazon said. They include TF1 and Gulli kid services Tfou Max and Gulli Max, M6’s kids nets Canal J and TiJi, as well as channels Automoto (Mediawan), Mezzo, (Canal+-Les Echos) and Geo Television. Movies and TV series platforms such as MGM, StarzPlay, Mubi or Action Max are also part of the offering. The subscription fees to those services range from €1.99 to €9.99 per month.
Amazon’s expansion in France follows the previous roll out of the service in the US, UK, Germany, Austria, Japan, Canada and Mexico, totaling some 300 channels and services globally.
