IP to usurp cable as main pay-TV tech in CIS, Baltics

IP based technologies are expected to see their pay-TV subscriber shares gradually increase in the upcoming years in the CIS and Baltics region, from 23 per cent in 2018 to 35 per cent in 2023, according to figures from Dataxis.
This would occur at the cost of cable, with an estimated market share of 33 per cent in 2023 vs 43 per cent in 2018.
