UK General Election could clash with MIPCOM
September 3, 2019
By Chris Forrester
UK prime minister Boris Johnson could call a general election on October 14th, which is MIPCOM’s opening day.
British delegates will need to pre-vote by post or appoint proxies if the election is confirmed.
MIPCOM’s October 14th events include a Media Mastermind with James Farrell, head of international originals at Amazon Studios. Another key attraction is a day of 8K and 4K screenings. The 8K screenings take place within the NHK 8K Auditorium (Level 3), while there’s a full day of 4K screenings and panel discussions in the Sony UHD 4K/8K Theatre (Level 4),
