Beavertown x Borderlands 3 present Bandit Brew
September 2, 2019
Beavertown and videogame publisher 2K have announced the launch of a collaborative brew in celebration of the upcoming release of the game Borderlands 3 (releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on Friday, 13th September). Aiming to brew the perfect sidekick to the game we crafted a Light IPA, loaded with punchy tropical hops to truly capture the mayhem and madness of the highly anticipated shooter looter from Gearbox Software.
Aptly titled ‘Bandit Brew’, this 2.8% light IPA is created out of a joint love for action packed gameplay, wild in your face graphics and having a bloody good time. The stealthy ABV slips unseen into the background bringing tropical notes of Pina Colada, passion fruit and fresh citrus forward, complete with a dry, bitter finish that leaves you thirsty for more.
This special, limited edition beer comes in its own full metal jacket that airlifts Borderlands’ iconic Psycho Bandit into the strikingly similar artistic world of Beavertown. Bandit Brew captures the mayhem of the Borderlands series in action and will be available to pre-order from today or for purchase from Friday, 13th September – Borderlands 3’s launch day.
Simon Turner, Head of Marketing and Communications UK at 2K, said “This partnership was a great opportunity for Borderlands fans to celebrate the beloved franchise. Working with Beavertown to create Bandit Brew was a natural fit – their art style, beers and brand persona is so Borderlands. The recipe is perfect for enjoying a brew whilst being a badass Vault Hunter in the new game.”
Sam Millard, Brand Manager at Beavertown Brewery, added: “When 2K proposed creating a beer with us, we just couldn’t say no. It’s been fantastic to create a brew for gaming, especially one designed for the iconic and chaotic Borderlands series. Nick Dwyer, our designer behind the incredible custom artwork, was so excited to delve into the world of Pandora and create something for Borderlands as it’s so chaotic.”
