Report: DTH declines but still leads pay-TV delivery

From Q1 2014 to Q1 2019, the total subscription revenues of the direct pay-TV market has increased by 19 per cent, reaching €8.9 billion, according to figures from Dataxis.
DTH remains the leading technology for direct pay-TV, with its revenues still accounting for 39 per cent of the total, however it has been slowly decreasing since 2015.
Direct cable revenues have remained relatively stable throughout the period and account for 26 per cent of the total, but have been lower than IPTV revenues (30 per cent) since 2018.
DTT represents just 2 per cent of total pay-TV revenues and is still in decline. It was surpassed in Q1 2019 by OTT pay-TV revenues which now represent 3 per cent of the total.
