Morgan new DCMS Secretary

Nicky Morgan MP has returned to government as Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport in new Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s first Cabinet. She previously served as Secretary of State for Education between July 2014 and July 2016.
She lists as her political interests: Business, manufacturing, economy, higher education, mental health, railways, heritage railways.
Morgan takes over from Jeremy Wright MP, who was one of a large number of Cabinet members either to resign or be sacked by PM Johnson.
In a tweet, Morgan said it was “an enormous privilege to take on this fabulous role”.
