Rakuten TV SVoD partnership with TalkTalk
July 8, 2019
Rakuten TV, the European VoD platform, has formed a new partnership with pay-TV provider TalkTalk TV, to offer its users a new SvoD service. The service is available now to TalkTalk TV customers who are subscribed to a TalkTalk TV ‘Boost’.
The deal will see TalkTalk TV Boost customers gain access to the new ‘Rakuten TV Movie Club’ as part of their subscription. TalkTalk TV customers will be able to enjoy movies from an extensive movie catalogue including titles which will be refreshed each week.
The TalkTalk TV partnership marks the next stage in Rakuten TV’s strategy to increase its presence in Europe, following the announcement of its extension plans earlier this year, where the platform tripled its distribution from 12 to 42 countries to reach more than 30 million European households, counting on a wide catalogue of top movies to offer the best cinematic experience for Smart TVs in 4K HDR.
Rakuten TV is now available in 42 countries and forms part of the Internet and e-commerce Japanese giant Rakuten, one of the world’s leading internet services companies, offering a wide variety of services for consumers and businesses, with a focus on e- commerce, fintech and digital content.
