Home to become HGTV2

British interior home and garden-orientated lifestyle television channel Home is to be rebranded as HGTV2 in the New Year following the service’s transfer to Discovery Communications as part of the UKTV sale deal with BBC Studios.
The announcement was made by Clare Laycock, VP Head of Lifestyle and Entertainment Brands at Discovery UK at Discovery’s Summer Upfront presentation in London.
HGTV is distributed to more than 88 million US households.
