Movistar OTT platform debuts
June 3, 2019
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Movistar’s new OTT service has gone live, prioritising other telcos’ subscribers in an attempt to gain customers from its competitors.
At a price of €8 a month, similar to other OTT platforms like Netflix, Movistar’s OTT will include Movistar’s in-house content through channels like #0, #Vamos, Movistar Series and Movistar Seriesmania.
The service may be taken through any operator and does not require a permanent contract. The streaming service will offer live and VoD content with some 270 movies and 60 programmes available at launch.
