DAZN, the on-demand sports streaming service, has secured the exclusive rights for this year’s Copa del Rey final in four markets; Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Japan. DAZN will also broadcast the fixture non-exclusively in Italy.
The fixture on May 25th will see Barcelona take on Valencia in a bid to secure the domestic treble, after taking home the Supercopa de España and La Liga title earlier in the season.
Jacopo Tonoli, Chief Commercial Officer of DAZN Group, said: “With a stacked football offering across Japan, Italy and DACH, DAZN fans can now watch two of the best teams from Spain battle it out in the Copa del Rey final. Such prestigious tournaments like the Copa del Rey are critical to keeping fans all of sports, leagues and teams continually engaged in our product and we look forward to giving fans all the action.”
Last week, Eleven Sports revealed it has secured the Copa del Rey final rights in 5 different markets.
