Zegona breaks into Euskaltel’s board of directors

Following its recent takeover of the company, Zegona has made its first move into Spanish telco Euskaltel by appointing José Miguel García, former CEO of Jazztel, as a member of the board of directors in the Basque-country-based company.
With the appointment, Zegona takes positions in the company with its right-hand executive to be CEO of Euskaltel in the near future.
The move takes place as Euskaltel announces its Q2 results with revenues down 2.8 per cent to €171.7 million and an EBITDA of &81.1 million, down 3.7 per cent.
Euskaltel plans to end the year with 30,000 new customers and increase its revenues by €10 million in its new markets (Navarra, León, Cantabria, La Rioja and Catalonia).
