MásMóvil delivers record profit

Spain’s fourth largest telco operator, MásMóvil, reported a net profit of €22 million in the first quarter of the year, up 168 per cent on the same period last year.
EBITDA reached €105 million, up 40 per cent on last year’s €75 million, and €15 million more than the previous quarter.
Total Q1 revenues amounted to €383 million, up 13 per cent. Revenues per services increased by 27 per cent to €336 million.
The company also saw record numbers in terms of subscribers. It ended the quarter with a total of eight million customers, up 34 per cent versus Q1 2018, with a growth of 332,000 across all its brands.
MásMóvil has 6.4 million FTTH subs, up nearly 3 million year on year.
The company has reached an agreement with Orange Spain to share FTTH networks, reaching 1 million premises for a total of €70 million. Meanwhile, it has also announced plans to sell part of its own FTTH network including 933,000 of its own subscribers, for a total of €217.5 million.
