Poland: “We need unified view on Huawei”
January 14, 2019
Polish interior minister Joachim Brudziński has called for the EU and NATO to take a “joint stance” on whether to exclude Chinese equipment vendor Huawei from their markets.
The call follows one of Huawei’s employees being arrested in Poland on spying charges. A former Polish security official was also arrested. Huawei has since sacked the executive distancing itself by saying his “alleged actions have no relation to the company”.
The company said: “Huawei complies with all applicable laws and regulations in the countries where it operates, and we require every employee to abide by the laws and regulations in the countries where they are based.”
