DC SVoD service to launch Sept 15

DC Entertainment, the iconic comic book brand, will launch its DC Universe digital subscription service in the US on September 15th.
DC has also revealed that its exclusive original series Titans will debut on October 12th, with episodes released weekly on the DC Universe. The first season of Titans will consist of 12 episodes. Warner Bros Television will host a world premiere screening of Titans on October 3rd during the New York Comic Con.
To mark the countdown to launch, all fans who pre-order a subscription before September 12th will be entered for a chance to win a visit Warner Bros, take the WB Studio Tour Hollywood, visit DC headquarters, ride in the Batmobile, and more.
DC Universe bills itself as a “first-of-its-kind digital subscription service”. A membership gives access to all-new original live-action and animated series, as well as classic TV series and films. Away from video content the service will also offer a curated selection of digital comic books, breaking news, an expansive DC-centric encyclopedia, and access to exclusive merchandise. Additional fan features include opportunities to connect with others in the DC community, earn premium rewards and participate in sweepstakes and contests.
At launch, the service costs $7.99 (€6.85) per month or $74.99 annually. Plans to expand the service into further markets have yet to be revealed.
