August 23, 2018
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Movistar and Vodafone have ramped up their price war in Spain – with both now offering discounts of up to 50 per cent for a year. Both are trying to gain subscribers from the other with low price offers for their convergent packages Movistar Fusión and Vodafone One.
Movistar is offering Vodafone subscribers its Fusion Family package with a 600Mbps fibre connection, two mobile lines with 12GB each and unlimited calls plus fixed line calls and all live football games, family TV and 80 channels or the Cine and Series package for €62.50 a month instead of the regular price of €125. Subscribers can also add the two sports packages and the bouquet of cinema and TV series for an extra €12.50 with a total monthly bill of €75 a month.
Vodafone is offering current Movistar customers a 50 per cent discount for a year on its One S, M and L convergent packages, rising to 2 years on its One Familia TV package.
Vodafone is also offering a 30 per cent discount to subscribers switching from Orange and Jazztel to its convergent packages for a year.
