Movistar launches Champions League channel
July 20, 2018
From David Del Valle in Madrid
Telefónica’s pay-TV platform has launched Movistar Liga de Campeones, a new TV channel to broadcast all the UEFA Champions League and Europa League games in Spain.
The channel will broadcast all the matches on pay-TV, replacing beIN Sports which has closed down in the country following Telefónica’s acquisition of the TV rights.
From this year, all the matches will be on pay-TV through the new channel with just one FTA match broadcast on Tuesdays on Antena 3 TV.
