Spain: 6m Netflix users?

The number of Netflix users in Spain may be four times more than the 1.5 million subscribers estimated by the regulatory body CNMC.
A video online report by IAB Spain reveals that 25 per cent of Internet users aged 16-65 is a Netflix consumer. This represents 6 million users out of the total 24 million people who watch online video in the country, reports Dircomfidencial.
Those 6 million would not all pay for the service as, according to IAB only 16 per cent of Spaniards in pays for any online video service, around 4 million. So, most Netflix users share their login details with several others
According to IAB, Netflix is the OTT platform most used among Spanish Internet users ahead of Movistar Plus (9 per cent users), HBO (8 per cent) and Amazon Prime Video (6 per cent)
In addition, the Netflix catalogue is the best for the Internet users with an average score of 8.3 followed by HBO’s with 8.2, Movistar Plus, 8 and Amazon 7.3.
Around 45 per cent of Internet users who don’t pay for online video say the would be willing to pay for a service priced at €9 a month.
