Malaysia: Twitter, Astro collaborate on World Cup content
June 1, 2018
Twitter and Astro have announced a collaboration for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia. To amplify sports conversations among fans in Malaysia, Astro is partnering with Twitter to provide ‘near-live’ football match clips and tournament content.
Fans of the global football tournament can look forward to goal alerts from match of the day, replay of the best goal of the day from every angle, a round- up of the day’s action capturing key moments and a collection of video clips of the star player of a match.
“We are excited to team up with Astro to bring exclusive World Cup content such as expert analysis and video highlights to Twitter alongside the best real-time conversations and Tweets,” said Maurizio Barbieri, Twitter’s SEA Head of Sports Partnerships. “Malaysians are passionate about football, and fans should head straight to Astro and Twitter to see and talk about everything that’s happening during the football tournament.”
