Italy’s Mediaset has reached a strategic TV content deal with Italian telco TIM which will enable TIMVision customers to watch all free-to-air channels of the commercial broadcaster.
In addition, subscribers of the VoD service will get access to the programming from the previous 7 days made available Mediaset.
From January 2019, TIMVision subscribers will have access to the online programming by flagship Mediaset channels Canale5, Italia1 and Retequattro, as well as the free-to-air themed channels La5, TGCom24, Mediaset Extra, 20, Iris, Italia2 and Top Crime, along with Focus that will start broadcasting in mid-May.
TIMVision has over 1.5 subscribers, offering over 10,000 titles of TV series, movies, cartoons and entertainment programmes. The TIM Box allows viewers to pause, re-start programmes from the start and watch them whenever they like.
Last month, TIM signed a strategic agreement with Vision Distribution to broadcast successful Italian movies on TIMVision just four months after their cinema release.
