A Nigerian court in Lagos has heard of an alleged fraud against MultiChoice and its DStv and GOTV pay-TV systems in the country. A sum of Naira 200 million (about €471,000) is claimed in the Court papers.
The alleged fraudsters are said to have hacked into the pay-TV operator’s computer system in Nigeria.
The alleged offences were discovered in March last year.
The accused deny the charges, and were remanded in custody with bail of Naira 2 million, and will reappear before the court on June 19th.
