Bolloré replaces father as Vivendi Chairman
April 20, 2018
Vivendi’s Supervisory Board has unanimously appointed Yannick Bolloré as Chairman, replacing his father Vincent Bolloré.
Vincent Bolloré, who owns more than 20 per cent of Vivendi’s shares via his family-controlled conglomerate, had been chairman of the French media group since 2014. “It’s time to make room for a younger generation,” he told an audience gathered at Vivendi’s general meeting in Paris.
Yannick Bolloré is also chairman and CEO of advertising giant Havas Group.
The Board additionally confirmed Philippe Bénacin as Vice-Chairman.
