Mobile subs in Europe reached 1.05bn in Q4 2017

According to Dataxis’s quarterly update, the mobile subscribers growth in Europe remains almost flat. In the fourth quarter of 2017, mobile subscribers in Europe reached 1.05 billion from compared to 1.04 billion (1040 million) for the same quarter in 2016, with a compound annual growth (CAGR) of 0.1 per cent.
The top 10 countries are accounting for 78 per cent of the mobile subscribers, showing a flat growth between Q4 2016 and Q4 2017. Russia, Germany, Italy, France, UK, Ukraine, Spain, Poland, Romania, and Portugal, are the top 10 countries, based on number of mobile subscribers. Among the top 10 countries, Russia being the highest contributor with 24 per cent of the mobile subscribers, and Portugal is the lowest with 2 per cent mobile subscribers.
