Canal+ sees full year growth

Canal+ Group has reported full year revenues of €5.246 billion, on par with 2016, thanks in part to a 5.7 per cent growth in the fourth quarter.
As at the end of December 2017, the Vivendi-owned company had total subscriber numbers of 15.6 million, up from 15 million at the end of 2016. Some 11.9 million were individual subscribers and 3.1 million wholesale customers.
Revenues from the French pay-TV operations were down 3.8 per cent , which the company said represented a slowdown quarter-by-quarter in its decline. Revenues from international operations grew by 4.8 per cent with an annual growth of nearly 700,000 subscribers, reaching nearly 3.5 million as of December 31st 2017.
