Spain: FTTH reaches 6.6m lines

FTTH grew by 1.7 million lines in the last year to reach 6.59 million at the end of December, according to CMNC data.
In just one month in December FTTH grew by 161,717 lines with DSL and HFC decreasing by 112,690 and 12,625 respectively.
Some 51.9 per cent of FTTH corresponds to Movistar with 3.4 million lines, even though its market share has been reduced by two points as in December 2016 it was 61.6 per cent.
By operators, 92.2 per cent of fixed broadband lines correspond to the three main operators with Telefónica leading the market with 41.17 per cent, followed by Orange with 27.66 per cent and Vodafone with 23.38 per cent.
