Japan: HBO content for Amazon
February 2, 2018
HBO is licensing 50 of its TV series to Amazon Prime Video in Japan, making shows including Game of Thrones and True Detective free to members of the Prime service.
Other major HBO titles, including The Sopranos, Six Feet Under and The Wire — all of which have already screened on local cable channels — will be free to Prime members from April 1st.
New seasons of current shows will become available on Prime six months after broadcast.
