KPNX deploys Mediaproxy
February 1, 2018
Mediaproxy, a provider of software-based IP broadcast solutions for compliance, monitoring and analysis, has announced that KPNX has selected its LogServer software solution for its next generation compliance and monitoring.
KPNX, a Tegna Media company, provides digital television services including NBC affiliate Channel 12, 12 News Weather, and the Justice Network to viewers throughout the greater Phoenix area.
In order to ensure full broadcast compliance in regards to quality of service, loudness and closed captioning, KPNX has chosen to install Mediaproxy LogServer to capture and log all of its broadcast content. For monitoring of broadcast video and ATSC transport streams, KPNX has upgraded its master control room with Mediaproxy’s LogPlayer client software and Monwall multiviewer. The software-based Monwall provides KPNX with flexible multiviewer panels combining both live video and TS metadata for compliance, real-time analysis and quality of service monitoring.
