January 29, 2018
Apple’s video unit has hired Dana Tuinier as creative executive of comedy. She will be reporting to head of development Matt Cherniss.
Tuinier joins Apple from Viacom where she served as VP, Development and Original Programming for TV Land and subsequently Paramount Network and TV Land after the two networks’ executive teams were merged.
Tuinier will work on Apple’s recently acquired as yet unnamed episodic comedy series, which will be executive produced by Kristen Wiig and produced by Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine.
