Pay-TV broadcaster All Media Baltics has signed a multi-transponder deal with SES to carry a bouquet of its channels on Astra 4A.
All Media Baltics was created in October 2017 after Providence Equity Partners acquired all of the media and Pay TV companies of Modern Times Group in the Baltics, which was already relying on SES for delivery of its TV package at 5 degrees East.
With this agreement, All Media Baltics ensures continuity for audiences and leverages the wide reach of SES’s prime orbital position over the Nordic and Baltic region: SES reaches 1.73 million TV homes in the Baltics at that slot, representing 65 per cent of all TV homes in the market.
“Not only do we provide premium DTH services, but we are also in the best position to bring high definition content to TV households in the Baltics, as we serve 78 per cent of HDTV homes in the region via our satellites,” said Håkan Sjödin, Vice President, Sales Nordic, Baltic and Eastern Europe at SES Video. “We are very pleased to support All Media Baltics with its DTH needs in high definition and we look forward to helping them continue to grow.”
