Netflix goes Greek
December 12, 2017
Netflix has launched a Greek service, using local language and currency in addition to offering Netflix’s original programming, now starting at €7.99 per month.
Hollywood movies, top TV shows, documentaries, independent films, stand-up comedy and a wide range of kids titles are now available to watch instantly across a number of devices with already over 70 per cent of the content dubbed or subtitled in Greek.
“We always knew the Greek people had a big appetite for great entertainment,” said Jonathan Friedland, Chief Communication Officer at Netflix. “Now we know it and we’re delighted to offer a more localised Netflix experience in Greece that will continue to grow with great TV shows and movies from here as well as around the world.”
