Vivendi, the French media group, has launched its mobile SVoD platform Studio+ in the US, with an app currently available on the AppStore, and a Google Play app to follow shortly. After a one-month free trial, a subscription will cost $3.99 per month.
Launched in 2016 in France, Italy and Latin America, the platform claimed in excess of 5 million subscribers at the last Mipcom in Cannes, whether as a direct subscription basis or via an IPTV platform, as Studio+ said it has also struck deals with telcos in Latin America and Bouygues Telecom in France.
The service offers original international series of 10 episode series in a 10 minute per episode format.
