The Walt Disney Company has announced the appointment of Abhishek Maheshwari as country head for India.

Maheshwari joined Disney in 2012 as VP and head of corporate strategy and business development. In 2014, he was put in charge of the consumer products business and earlier this year was also given charge of the company’s Integrated Media Networks business.

“Abhishek is an astute and transformative business leader. Since joining the company, he has championed and driven transformative changes that have positioned our businesses to achieve consistent significant growth,” commented Samat.
