From David Del Valle in Madrid
The Basque Country-based cable operator Euskaltel has increased its pay TV subscriber base by 47.5 per cent to 394,000, against 267,000 subscribers one year earlier.
The company, along with Telecable in Asturias, recently launched the first Android TV-ready 4K STB in Spain to boost subscriptions. Since September 10,000 STBs have been activated. Around 68 per cent of all Euskaltel subscribers are enjoying the TV services.
